Hi, I am new to the forum. I have been using PM for a few years and I am mainly pleased with the functionality. I do have problems with printing out the pieces on my A3 printer with not having them aligned correctly. I am not sure whether it is the printer or the software to blame, but even with the alignment marks things seem to be off. Is there something I need to do to make them fit properly?

How are you having trouble printing them? What I have done to align the pieces is make sure the alignment marks are turned on which is the default. This should create circles with X's in each corner to use to align them. I have then placed them against a backlite picture window and taped them together.

Yes, that's exactly how I do it too, but sometimes the pattern sections don't line up correctly even when the alignment marks are correctly matched - it is particularly noticeable on large pattern pieces. I'm also using an A3 printer so wonder if that might exaggerate the problem. I usually end up matching as best as I can and redraw the line with a ruler before cutting out, but I just wondered if there was a reason it happened...

Do you have a suggestion on how we can improve this and make your task easier?

I am going to try printing out pieces 'borderless' to see if that might help. But maybe by having central alignment marks might make the task easter perhaps? Other than that, I can't really think of an easier or cleaner method....

Good luck using "borderless". Having a central alignment mark sounds interesting. Can you explain how that would work?

I am picturing a centralised cross to the edges of the paper like so. The standard alignment marks at each corner could be turned on or off, I am not sure if they would be necessary or not without trying it out...It's just a thought!
