I want to place a new point C at a certain distance from a point B perpendicular to the line trough points A and B. This line is not horizontal or vertical. I use the Right Angle function for this, but it keeps placing the new point C at 0,0. I tried several ways to enter the necessary points, but C stays at 0,0.
Am I doing something wrong or is this function just not working properly? In the first case, what am I missing? And in the second case, is there a work around?
I'm not allowed to upload a picture, these are the coordinates:
A is at 33.6,-19.1 and B is at 35.9, -23.0 and C should be at 0.75 from this line, so nowhere near 0,0

The Coordinate function has the same problem...So apparently this is a bug in the program and has nothing to do with the Right Angle function specifically.
What I did to solve this is the following:
close MG
delete mg.cfg file (to be found in Documents/PatternMaker/Personal Files/Config)
restart computer
restart MG
That seems to work.
This is the second time in a week I have to delete the cfg-file (and since this is the second time I use PM or MG in one week; a 'success' rate of 1). This is a bit annoying. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

Hello Danielle,
I had exactly the same problem with several functions the first time I installed MG.
So I had to browse it and to install it again.
I have had no problems anymore since.
Hope this will help.

Danielle,
Adding a line point or right angle which shows at Start is a bug we know about which suddenly occurred.
We noticed When the file is not saved yet it can occur.
We are working at the program to solve this problem as soon as possible.
A work around for now is to save the file. Then Close MG and reopen it. The points will show at the right place. When you add then new points they are at the right place.

Thanks for your reply.
I reinstalled PM and MG last week after the first time I had issues. So unfortunately that didn't work

Thanks for your reply.
At least that is a quicker solution than deleting the cfg-file and restarting the whole pc. Hope this will be fixed soon .
